What is the difference between hemp and marijuana?

Hemp and marijauna are the same plant (Cannabis sativa L.) but hemp has less than 0.3% THC

 

What type of THC is in Nowaday products? 

Nowadays utilized naturally derived Delta-9 THC from hemp grown in the U.S. 

 

Is the THC in hemp different from the THC in marijuana? 

There is no practical difference of effect, but this is a legal difference. 

Hemp plants and marijuana plants are both the same species of cannabis.Delta-9 THC is the same molecule whether it is derived from hemp or marijuana. It’s naturally occurring in all hemp and marijuana plants and has been consumed by humans for thousands of years. Nowadays products contain Delta-9 THC derived from federally legal hemp and contain a Delta-9 THC concentration of less than 0.3%.  

 

What’s a cannabinoid? 

Cannabinoids are a group of chemical compounds found in the cannabis plant. The most common cannabinoids are THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol).
